the beauty of life isn't fully lived unless it's routinely shared

Live an Open Eyed Life
People like to hear what they want to hear. We surround ourselves with similar opinions, tastes, and perspectives. We don’t like having our feathers ruffled by someone who sees the same things differently, or being placed in circumstances that go against the grains of our being. Life is easier when there is no opposition, but the truth is, there is opposition. That’s what this music is about, and how some of the biggest challenges you will ever face will also be remembered as some of the best times of your life. Let's flip the perspective right-side up so that we begin to look at our trials, fears, and challenges as opportunities to move forward, not burdens to set us back. It is actually in the honest moments of struggle, when we feel closest to giving up, and when we feel that our dreams may die, that we actually become very alive and learn to flourish. These are the trying times where God finds, refines, and redefines who we are, and these recordings are an attempt to capture that. It is my deepest hope that in a simple, raw, and vulnerable way these songs capture the hearts of broken men after God, full of questions, honesty, grace, mistakes, and wisdom sometimes learned the hard way. Living a full life isn't about how many days you are granted on this Earth, but how you walk into each one of your experiences, how you walk through them, and how you walk out of them. This is a collection of the sounds and stories of life experiences seen through my eyes, and I hope you enjoy.
